Greece...Part 1

Wa...memory very bad...let me think what we did...

Tuesday, 27th March
Flew to Singapore on Singapore Airlines to catch our flight to Athens. Had sushi in Genki Sushi... Walked around in the terminal...bought myself a little necklace from Madame Butterfly. Please don't say it looks Ah Soh...

Wednesday, 28th March
Arrived in Athens @ 7.45 AM local time. Took a cab to the 5* Athenian Callirhoe Exclusive Hotel...(thought stay in abit of style lah.. But then the room soooo small one. H says "THis is EUROPE ah...What you expect?". Anyway, we got a 50% discount on Priceline.co.uk) Think the cab driver cheated our money lah. He charged us 40 Euros, and I read that it should cost only about 25 - 28 Euros to get to city centre.

Spent almost whole morning trying to sort out our phones. As the roaming was NOT working. So, bought a local SIM card, but then also have problem with sending international SMS. So finally sorted out the phone, we headed out to the Acropolis. Wa.... climb up such a high hill man. But view was worth it lah... Then came down, had lunch at this restaurant called Taverna VITRO. H had the Lamb Souvlaki and I had the moussaka. We had the taramosalata for starter... Quite good the food here. Then it was off to see Hadrian's Arch and Temple of Olympian Zeus. Then more walking....to the Roman Agora on the other side of the Acropolis... After all the sightseeing, we went shopping as H kept on complaining that my Marks & Spencer pants looks like Ah Soh... So went into Massimo Dutti and bought 1 pair of pants, 1 pair of Jeans and 1 set of PJs... all paid by H lah of course. Then we walked some more back to the Hotel.. I was soooo tired, that I didn't even have the energy to go out for dinner. H had Nissin Noodle that he gasak from the Star Alliance lounge :-)

Thursday, 29th March
Had breakfast in the hotel, checked out and then went to Europcar nearby to pick up our rented car (again through Priceline.co.uk... best price around)... and off we went towards the Peloponese Peninsula... supposed to stop at the Corinth Canal but me being the navigator somehow overshot...and we went straight to the Epidauros (ancient theatre that sits 14,000 and still holds performances in the summer in this current day).

We had lunch in the seaside town of Nafplio, which has a Fortress. Of course didn't climb lah.. Followed "Lonely's Planet" recommendations on this restaurant Taverna Paleo Arhontiko. Wa...find until so difficult. In some small lane one, and we were the only customers. So so only lah the food.. H had the Veal in Lemon Sauce and I had Pork Stew. H said that he don't trust Lonely Planet wor...as it's for backpackers....so sure NO good one...
Anyway, then we drove to Ancient Mycenae. The Lion's Gate shown here is the gateway to the city. It's built in 13th century BC. Can you imagine? Over 3000 years ago!!! We got here kinda late, and almost didn't get in, ticket counter already closed some more...but managed to get the guy to let us in.. So NO need to pay!!! keekkakkaka Anyway, they found LOADs of gold here during the excavation, eg Golden Mask of Agamenon, which is in the National Archaelogical Museum in Athens.

After that, it's a long long drive towards Olympia. Wa... talk about bad roads in 3rd World Asian Countries.. this European Union country's roads also not exactly good...We had to stop for Goats Crossing. But views are Great!! The pix shows a Frankish Castle overlooking a hillside town..Solly..my camera not so good.
Arrived in Olympia, checked into the family-run 3* Hotel Pelops (3* also NOT cheap leh). Not as nice as our first night's hotel but at least it's clean and the shower is POWDERFUL...
(Photos all from my FujiPix.. Zoom not powderful enuff!)

Happy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER!!!!
Cute bunny? Supposed to for Easter Brunch today (Easter Sunday maaa)...but the thought of Penang Prawn Mee was swimming in my head and refused to go away... So, we cancelled our reservation at Sofitel and went to the Penang Bistro restaurant instead... Had Penang Prawn Mee, Singapore Laksa and Penang Rojak. Shared with H lah of course.. So glutton meh, you think? Both boys had Roti Tissue and Seafood Soup. Yeah..weird combination... but nevertheless they gasak everything. S2 was not happy with our change of venue though ..cause he was looking forward to the Easter Egg painting, cookie decorating and ice-cream eating contest at the brunch...
I have been quite a piggy since we came back from Athens... sleeping till about 10.30/11.00 AM everyday. Lucky boys having their easter break, so no need to wake up at 6 AM. This is the only plus thing lah..no need to wake up at 6.00 AM...other than that, they have been driving me crazy and I've not even been back for a week. We came on Tuesday morning, and H went straight to work from the airport. I on the other hand, went home and ZZZZ. Woke up for lunch (dad cooked mee-sua soup), chat a bit with mom, watched dad swim with the boys for a while, and then went back to ZZZZZ.
Permed my hair on Good Friday. It's a public holiday over here, and H was with the boys at home.
Other than that, nothing much except that I've got very bad itches all over. Don't know allergic to what shit. Scratch Scratch Scratch only. Started sometime whilst in Greece. H thinks it's some ingredient used in Mediterranean cooking wor.. And some more we went for more Meditterranean food on Good Friday. H knows this guy who owns the restaurant...boys didn't want to go, so we went on our own lor.. Quite a nice place.. So, was a wine and dine thing.. Had Verve Cliquot champagne :-) till was a bit tipsy....

Count my Blessings...

I have been really bad to S1...not intentionally lah, of course..but when I look back on events, find that I am tooooo harsh on him. He didn't mean to upset me, of course...just somehow I can snap! *sigh*... Like yesterday, I came downstairs and he came to hug me and wanted to *pat* *pat* my back but he did it wrongly and somehow *slap*slap* me. "Si peh thia" man, ...of course I screamed at him lah... I know he didn't mean it to come out wrong.... But I just snapped... And then later, I saw him shaking my notebook again. I already told him to stop doing that the day before as the hinge on the screen will come loose (and yes, it has). So what do I do? Screamed at him again lah. He just nod his head and looked sooo apologetic.

Why do I do this??? I should count my blessings that S1 turned out to be a normal and smart boy who can use my notebook for his Powerpoint presentation, for his emails etc. His Powerpoint presentation is sooo much better than alot that I've seen from some of my ex-colleagues.

Count my blessings that he loves me and wants to hug me.

Count my blessings that he knows that he's done wrong and be apologetic.

I felt soooo bad when I was thinking about the events...he was already in bed, and this morning didn't get to see him (okay... I zzzz like a piggy since my mom is around)...So, will wait till he comes home from school later today... Talk to him before I leave for Athens tonight. Need to tell him sorry and that I love him....

I love you, S1!!!

Think tooooo much!

I think toooo much! I have been telling myself to STOP! And let things take its course whatever it may be...But my mind can't help itself and would wander all over the place! For example, my period was supposed to be due on the 20th of each month...and I am ALWAYS on time... So, when 20th came and my period was no where in sight...I told myself "don't worry...don't worry.. February only had 28 days...so...period surely will be late...Period will come on the 22nd"... Okay, 22nd looms round and period still nowhere in sight... I told H about me being late, but NOT to worry as Feb was short.. and H asked in a very melodious voice "you are not pregnant are you???" ... I have to say my mind started to wander...questions questions questions..

- Where to deliver?
- Does that mean that I have to go back to Malaysia to deliver the baby?
- What about boys' schooling? Ask mom to come while I am in Malaysia?
- Get a maid to look after baby? She sleep in the house or in the maid's quarters??

I know! I know! SIOW SIOW SIOW lah me...

Then, the night of 22nd, could feel a tinge of belly cramp and have to say I was relieved to know that my period was coming..and YAY!!!! Period came on the 23rd!! "PHEW!!!!"

Told H that all those questions popped into my mind, and he was like "sai mmm sai ar??"

Have to tell myself to STOP THINKING TOO MUCH!!!

BOOBS!!

I had to write about this...I went to dinner with S1's teacher and some of the other parents on Friday nite... (H didn't come as he had another dinner to go to)... There was this mom...waaaaa her boobies were on display man! Her baju was kinda low, and really can see the roundness and curves of her boobies.

Don't say the men look-see and salivating ler... I also cannot keep my eyes off her boobs man! (No! No! Not jealous! Just think she very brave to wear baju like that to a parents-teacher do) I hope she didn't see me looking at her boobies... Ha ha ha.. But I have to say she's got nice boobies... Hahaha..

School House Rock!

The musical "School House Rock" is finally here!!!!

S1's musical performance on held in their newly completed theatre on Thursday, 22nd March 2007 at 4.00 pm. My mom, H, S2 and I went to see his performance. Considering it's a bunch of 9 and 10 years olds..it's good. All the songs actually revolves around "grammar, science, maths etc".... I learnt about Interjections and Conjunctions on that day!!! ha ha ha.

Athens...Here I come!!

Finally!!! The trip that I was promised! We are off to Athens this Tues/Wed. We are going to be there for 5 nights and returning on the 2nd of April.... but only arriving back home on the 3rd.

At first, H wanted to go to either LAX or LHR but the redemption flights on Singapore Airlines were full... Yes. It's a last last minute thing. So, since we've both not been to Greece... and there were flights..so go to Athens la.. So..have not been updating my blog for the last week because busy checking out for hotels... Siow H said 5 nites in Greece seems long, how about fly to LHR for the weekend?? I was like "mei chor kor fei kei meh"??? Donwan.....

So, it's 3 nights in Athens and then the remainder 2 nights in Delphi and Olympia...

Kids? Oh...my mom is here ma.... heee hee..

"Lau Sai"...

Had a very very bad day yesterday.... Started at about 4 am when I woke up with reaaaaaaal bad tummy ache, then had to run to the toilet...lau sai. Lau sai about 11 times man. Not only I lau sai, my belly was soooooo painful. Was practically squirming all over my king-sized bed. When H called me in the morning...I told him I lau sai...and he asked "on the bed or what?".. Alamak!!!

I had PoChai Yuen, then another type of chinese medicine, then tagamet, then linchi.. Put so much minyak kapak on my belly... My limbs were all sooooo lembik. Slept whole of Monday... Boys had the day off from school (public holiday) and obviously, they played PS2 and watched tv until their eyes popped out. S2 was like "yeah..no school on Tuesday!'. I asked "Why not?" and he said "because you sick ma". I was like "what has me being sick got to do with you not having to go to school?" He didn't know Monday was a public holiday and not because I was ill...

Feeling much much better today....

S2 the Cassanova ...and Kids

The other day, we were all in the car going for dinner.....can't exactly remember what we were talking about but S2 said something that I thought was pretty funny.

S2: I don't like Taylor. She pretends and tell lies!

Me: Why do you say that? What did she do?

S2: One time, when we were going to C.Woods, she came and sit next to me in the bus, and then she lay on me. I told her to go find somewhere else to lay. I was so angry with her. Then she lies and pretends that it was accidentally. I know it is purposely.

Here...some cute little girl wants to sit and put her head on my son, and he gets irritated!!! I told S2 " Now you don't like her to lay on you... wait till you are a teenager... " which of course he doesnt' understand yet.

Anyway, had a dinner with some of the other class moms from S2's class. I was relaying that S1's classmates are all having crushes etc. At this age, they can devise "strategy" to get a girl's email address. The kids all have an email accounts at school. And S1's friend Justin wants to have this girl's email add by which she has refused to give him. So Justin somehow got the girl to send an email to S1, and in turn asked S1 to give him the girl's email address. You say smart or not???

As for S2, he is still very much a mommy's boy. He said his girlfriend's name starts with M. And I was trying to soooo hard to recall all the girls in his class but still cannot think. Then he said it's "MOMMMMY"! And tells me that he wants to marry me! At this age, I'm told this is very normal. This other mom, she was telling me the same thing, i.e. son told her that he wants to marry her, and she said "But I'm already married". And guessed what the son said??

"It's okay. When daddy dies....".

I thought that was hilarious!

*PING* *PONG* *PIANG*

Don't know if I mentioned in my earlier posts but have joined a group of Malaysian/Singaporean ladies for regular coffee mornings and beading classes.. on Tuesdays. So far, have ate 3 times but not done any beading yet. Next week will go look-see the beading session.

Anyway, yesterday was another makan session. The host suggested we played this tongue twister game called "PING PONG PIANG" ... Everyone sits in a circle and the first person starts to call out "PING" and the next goes "PONG" and the next "PIANG". Sounds simple enough..but you can call out to the person on either sides.. that's where the confusion starts. I am the youngest amongst them... and was the first one to foul out when my tongue was PONG PING PIANG...ha ha ha. Supposed to call out PIANG only. It's really silly but really really funny when you see everybody fouling out with their tongue or sitting stunned and don't know what to do. It was hilarious...

Kids...and iPods

As I mentioned, I volunteered for S2's school trip... and we visited a life size replica of a long house. The guide was explaining to the kids that such a house would be in the jungle. No electricity, no cars etc. And out came a question from these 7 year olds with "Is there iPod ?". The guide was like "no iPods, no ps2, no gameboys!" Aiyo...I tell you, apparently, 50% of the school kids have an iPod of some sort.

Just now, went jalan-jalan in the mall with H while waiting for kids to finish their mandarin classes, and H was very itchy to buy some gadgets. First, he wanted to get me a phone. I was like "What for?"..then he saw the mini-mini iPod (as V so gallantly informed me that the mini-mini iPod is called the iPod Shuffle...) and wanted to get for the boys... I of course said NO lah. The boys are not REAL music fans. It will be a case of "just wanting to have it"...

Anyway, told H that if he really wants to buy me stuff, might as well get me a pair of earrings rather than a new phone...

Perfect Kids...

Thought I'll write a little bit about kids after reading Laundryamah's rants about her son.

I have to say that I've been guilty of screaming and shouting at my two boys. Yes...very often. I guessed sometimes I try to defend my actions by saying that they are naughty etc etc. But of course sometimes they are REALLY NAUGHTY. However, alot of times, they are just being kids. And in the heat of the moment, you just lose sight of things and just rant and scream etc when unexpected things happen.

One recent episode was when S1 came home and asked me for an iPod, which of course I said NO. And then he said "can I work for it?". He basically wanted to bake cupcakes to sell. He then proceeded to the kitchen to look for the ingredients, and accidently tugged at some bottles, and off flew the Goober and the Crumpy bottles onto the floor. Broken lah, of course. Wah!!! Of course I screamed and shouted like some MAD woman. Screamed and screamed and screamed. Think he was a little shocked and I saw his eyes got teary but I didn't care. Still screamed and shouted like some deranged woman lah. Later that night, I thought to myself that he's actually meant well. At least he tried to think of some ways to earn some money, rather than look at me and DEMAND an iPod etc. The broken stuff were an accident. He definitely didn't mean it, nor wanted it to happen. Why am I so hard on my 9 year old? He's only 9 and sometimes, I expect him to behave like he's 29!!!! Even some 29 year olds behave worse than my 9 year old!!

Why do I expect a perfect kid? When I myself is NOT perfect at all?? I am trying to learn and be more patient. Friend told me this..if whenever you want to scream or blow up, breathe, and then walk away. Calm down first before you reprimand your child. OR ask yourself "is this a life and death matter? Can it be salvage?" and work from there....

But then...of course, when the kids are kicking each other...there's nothing better than scream "STOP IT NOW!"....

General Updates... W1 March

Whacko Broadband
Wariow...my broadband was out out action for about a week. So cialatt. Don't really know what was the problem. It's like off and on, off and on. So many problems that H said to change the provider to the 3G provider instead of the current land land. So, I don't know..will see how it goes.

Jazz Festival
We went to Jazz Festival last Saturday. It was fab. We left boys at home with the maid, and had dinner at Crystal Jade. Nothing fancy...just porridge and Fried HK KwayTeow. Then off to the Jazz festival. It was kinda scary as we approached the entrance. Sooooooo many ticket touts and I don't know why, but H answered them so gruffly like "wann kau ngai" like that. Anyway, they had 15 stages around the area, so just go round listening to ppl you like lor. We queued for David Benoit...and when we came out, it was like a madhouse as ppl were trying to get in. I've not seen in real life bouncers linking their arms in a row trying to control the crowd until now. We left David Benoit early as we had to q for Chaka Khan. Chaka Khan looked abit "pui" or maybe she has been "pui" for along while now. Don't know if she was behaving like a diva or what...she was supposed to come on at 11.15 pm and only came out at 12.30 AM. It was only an hour concert...but she sang the usual favorites. Of course I screamed along the verses that I knew lor. Her daughter was one of the backup singers... the BIG boobs must be in the genes. Hee heee... By the time I got into bed was like already 2 am... and I have to say that i slept like a baby...(all the standing also made me extra tired lah..)

School Outing...
Volunteered for S2's Class outing today. It was a half day thing but don't know why, I was sooooo tired when I got home, I slept for TWO hours. That shows that I am waaaaaaay off my prime!! Had to "look after" three other kids on top of my own, so, two boys and two girls. As usual, the girls were pretty good. Stayed close. S2, of course was staying close. Don't know why, but he acts like baby with me around. When I went to school.. Err. I put them on the bus and I went by car. Some ppl were surprised that I didn't have the boys in the car with me... He he he.. I was like "jazz music in the background" OR "screaming fighting boys in the background". Obviously, the soothing sounds of jazz won thumbs down!!! kekeke

Dubai... (Updated)

(Actually, this did not turn out to be a PPP post because DUMBO nomadicmom haven't even got the blog and post correct in the PPP website. BODOH or not?? hehehe..but kept it here anyways since I really did check out on Dubai for our trip)

Since this is my first PPP post, think Dubai is a good topic.

S2 whose in Year 2 in BIS has a sweet classmate who has just moved to Dubai in December 2006. Prior to their move, the family did a pre-visit to check out on the property in Dubai. Some of us mommies had a coffee morning after the pre-visit and she conveyed that she was really really excited with the move. She spoke about actual snow skiing in a mall. Who would have thought about skiing in the Middle East? She made everyone very excited, yours truly included. As I mentioned previously, H was supposed to whisk me away for a coupledom holiday... and I actually suggested Dubai. :-) Checked out on Kempinski etc. But, all the hotels were fully-booked. When I spoke to another friend (whose hubby is a hotelier), she was telling me that Dubai is really HOT HOT HOT now. And one would need to book rooms waaaaay ahead.

Anyway, before this friend's recent move, we've heard much about the wonderful properties on the islands that make up The Palm, Jumeirah. David Beckam bought a place there. Plus 'The World'. Look at the photo of The Palm, Jumeirah. It's a real marvel! Don't you think?

PayPerPost

I'm not too sure if this is how it works...since I am such a dumbo in all this techno stuff. Anyway, since I'm a SAHM, and Laundryamah has been asking me to check out PayPerPost to keep my time occupied, I went to register onto PPP. Nope, I have not yet posted anything yet. Will try to post something soon. But not too sure how it works. Guessed it'll have to learn as I go.

Siow Thick-Skinned Ang Moh

How do I start this post... Okay...I got an sms for an invite to lunch from one of the moms in S2's class who is a local Chinese lady. The sms went "Dear moms, XYZ and I blah blah blah..on Monday at T.Cafe". Anyway, I went to the mall and met ("chorng tou" not purposely meet up one) another mom who is a kwei-poh, so I just chit-chated with her for abit and when I said bye, I sort of said "see you tmrw". She wasn't invited for the lunch. Nevermind that. I've made a boo-boo lor. I should be the one that's embarassed, and that's it, right??? BUT this siow thick-skinned angmoh went to call up XYZ and screamed at her for not inviting her wor!! Then after that, another angmoh called XYZ and screamed at her too.

SIOW SIOW SIOW!!!! I mean normally, if our friends don't invite us for a DO, we just shrug it off ma.. where got call people up and scream one??? I also feel so bad. This XYZ is an American Indian and she was saying that when all the white ladies go out, they also don't invite her and they would laugh and talk about it in front of her. Worse of all, it was not her that called the moms, and it was the Chinese lady. So, I don't know..maybe it's this angmoh supremacy thing that they feel.

Anyway, the whole lunch was cancelled because of this stupid fiasco by some stupid angmoh charboh.

Also heard from my friend today that some stupid angmoh elbowed her husband in the plane to get ahead, and have the cheek to say "uncivilised" and "idiot". Of course her hubby flare up lah. He said something like "how civilised are you to elbow me?" and think he ask the fella to go back to his country too... (This happened in Malaysia).

Some Bali Photos

S1 on the Euro-Bungee in WaterBom Park. Flew so high up into the trees that he disappeared from the camera's view...hee hee...

Close-Up of Boys' temporary tattoo...which we got done at Kuta. The fella wanted RP 100,000 each. Think print money meh? So, bargained, and finally paid RP 70,000 for two tattoos on both the boys. And now S1 panicking because he's got swimming in school tomorrow and tattoos are NOT allowed. So, he wants to hide it.

My Skinny Boys from afar... Yeah...very far, I know. Was sitting on the deck chair under the umbrella. So didn't want to go nearer.

Some sea creature that we see in the tidal pools.... Got loads more leh...sea snail lah, one funny look red slug which the boys keep on saying that it's a bacon, starfish lah etc.

Scene from the "Ramayana Ballet". Picture was taken by S2. Quite nice, yeah???

Bali....

As you all know...didn't come back to Malaysia for CNY... Took boys to Bali for 3 nights.. So, it's me, S1, S2 and Joey... H didn't come with us as he was still in Europe... was in Barcelona, then Helsinki then Munich and then flew back via London.

Who is Joey??? Here is Joey...
S2 is supposed to take care of Joey over the holidays, i.e. take him everywhere he goes. And then write the experience in "Joey's Book of Adventure". Basically, it's some kind of a writing project that the Year 2 kids do. This Joey has gone to many many places. He's into his second "Book of Adventure" now. His recent travels were to Sydney, Hong Kong Disneyland, Singapore and now Bali. Told S2 that Joey has definitely been to more places than he has! Ha ha ha.

Anyway, we stayed at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa. Actually wanted to stay at the Nikko Hotel, but toooooooo last minute and there weren't any more rooms. Found out later that their principal and family were also holidaying in Bali and staying in the same hotel....

Have to say Bali is kinda expensive. Everything..taxi, food .... Basically, didn't do much in Bali. Took boys to the WaterBom Park... quite good. Not crowded at all. Feels like in angmoh country cause no holidays in Indonesia. And then hung around at the hotel pool and beach. Was under the umbrella most of the times and still can get sun-burnt. Think slather loads of sunblock on boys but not enough on myself.

H actually told me to go eat in the fancy smancey places like Kafe Warisan, Ku de ta etc etc. Aiya.. but you know with the two boys..I would be lucky if we eat in the hotel restaurant. Most times they wanna have room service. How boring can that get??? S1 actually ate room service on his own on our final night. S2 and I went for the "Ramayana Ballet" cultural performance in the hotel.. S1 refused to go and said "Aiya! Very boring one lah. Don't want to waste money".

Anyway, there was one night... I wanted to wear this top which had a criss-cross back, and tried to adjust my bra to criss-cross lah.. so I told S1 to help me hook the straps to criss-cross lah. He tried to help but couldn't do it and with his typical man answer he said "why do you have to wear this type of difficult bra one?' ... ha ha ha.

New Handbag...

H came back from Europe yesterday... and got another new handbag. It's a Anya Hindmarch bag. It's sort of beige with maroon trimmings and maroon logos emblazoned all over. Looks okay.. will post the pix later.

S2's Pokemon Splash Party

Had S2's party two weeks ago, and the theme was "Pokemon Splash Party". Considering the widespread city flooding, it was quite good that we still had about 11 kids plus 2 (S1 and S2). Basically, only invited the boys from S2's class... but I invited the siblings of some of the boys too (as I knew the moms quite well).

Kids watched a Pokemon movie and then had a short Pokemon quiz. Als0 had a BINGO game whereby kids shout out S2's name instead of Bingo. I tediously printed out the Pokemon Bingo Cards, which had Pokemon Characters instead of the numbers...
Then they had a water balloon fight followed with more fun in the pool. Then the rain came and boy!!! Did it pour! Luckily we managed to have some splashing fun before it rained cats and dogs! After that, had some snacks. Nuggets and Chips for the kids. As for the adults, had grilled chicken wings, chicken curry, fried wonton and fried beehoon. The kwei-pohs were asking for the recipe for the beehoon and I told them that it was the fried pork fat that was the magic ingredient. Actually, mom fried it. And later the kwei-pohs spoke to mom and she said the same thing "pork fat!!!" ha ha ha.. I gladly added that us chinese are very PORKY people. Hahaha.

Thereafter, some kids went off to play the PS2 but most did T-shirt painting of Pokemon characters. Had to go all over the city to look for cheap and decent looking plain white T-shirts for the kids to paint on. Couldn't find them in the normal shops, at the end, I went to T-shirt printing stall to buy the T-shirts of them. Of course more expensive but no choice ler.

Oh yeah.. And S2 had a Feraligatr cake. I had to print a picture from the computer and bring it to the Cake Shop so that they can copy the picture lor.
All in all...think it was a good party lah.

Long time no blog

Have not updated my blog for awhile... multitude of reasons lah.. Internet was done due to the flooding in the city. Havoc as usual. Schools cancelled, some roads closed etc. Luckily our house was not affected at all. Only thing was the internet connection was whacko.

On the first day of the major flood, I happily went to the salon for my appointment but the place was sort of closed. And the attendant said that due to the floods, no workers came in for work. A friend's house was flooded quite badly, she said water came into her kitchen/dining room area and water level was about 3 feet. The huge fridge toppled over and was like floating on top of the water!!! It was a total mess and of course she had to move to the hotel.

Another friend had no electricity, and they had to move to the hotel for a few days.

Most people were somewhat affected. S2's "Pokemon Splash Party" was on the day after the first day of flooding. Phone lines were havoc, and ppl were wondering if the party was still on. I had to use H's phone to call everyone to tell them that party is still ON! I'll write more about S2's party in a separate post later.

Other times when the internet was working, I was too lazy lor. Then I was "sien" for abit and no mood to blog...then after that was CNY and I went away to Bali with the Boys. H left for Europe again on the 10th of Feb, and only came back yesterday...

My Man!

H has gone to Europe for a few days... So, last night I told S1 that whilst his dad is gone, he can be the man of the house. He was very happy of course. This morning, I set my alarm at 6.10 am. But when I came out of my room, I found that boys were already dressed and having their breakfast. As my mom was attending to them, I just said "Oh..you guys are already eating. I am going back to bed!" and went off... S1 called out to me "Come back here, young woman! I am the man of the house! And you have to listen to me!" That's my 9 year old talking!!! He did say once to me "I may not look like a man, BUT I feel like a man!"

Whatever it is, just don't suddenly come home and tell me that I am going to be a grandmother soon in the next 20 years!! Okay Okay.. at least another 15 years lah!!!

My friend Oyster... :-)

Well,...he's not really an oyster, of course... Gave him that nickname when I first met him over 16 years ago in London.... Waaaaa TIME FLIES!!! Well, his name was very much like Lee Kam Kee - the famous oyster sauce brand. Used to sing the jingle for the sauce "Leeeee Kam Kee hou yau, chan chan hou mei...." whenever I see him..kekeke..

Both of us were very "wai sik" then and we were the only ones amongst the Malaysian students that lived away from the uni and thus have a travelcard, so both of us used to go makan-makan in Chinatown. It was there that both of us saw Princess Diana. (The famous person question ?!?!) She actually waved at both of us, but somewhat nobody believed us leh....

Anyway, he came over to Country X yesterday and we met for drinks and dinner. Drinks first because I met him in his hotel, then went over to pick H from Planet Hollywood, then went to this place called Lara Djonggrang for dinner. Food is not great, but the ambience is very nice lah. Take my guests there because of the ambience and can savour the local cuisine. Well, of course talk talk talk lor.. He's still single, eligible bachelor.... Quite funny what he said about women... Women who are below 30, very difficult to "york" to go out, once they cross the 30 threshold, waaaa like sooooo easy to "york". He's quite choosy lor...I think. One piece of shocking news is that the top student in our uni years is a bum wor... (KL - I'm sure you remember him... A.Buxton???) Apparently, his sponsors stopped his phD funding when he sort of went directionless and is now a tour guide and only works during the winter.... How things change leh...

This Lara Djonggrang place is named after this mythical princess. She was very very beautiful. The guy who killed her father was soooo besotted by her beauty that he wanted to marry her. But she tried to avoid it by demanding 1000 temples be built by dawn first, thinking that he would fail. Well, 999 temples were already built and dawn was still faraway... so she went to disturb the roosters which then crowed like crazy. The guy thought that it was dawn already and that he had failed to win her hand in marriage. But later, he found out that she had tricked him. He was soooooo angry that he turned her into a stone. Well, in the restaurant, there is a supposedly stone statue of Lara Djonggrang.....

Bed Wetting Problem...

*SIGH* S2 is wetting his bed at night. How?? What to do to stop it? I know it's not a physiological problem, so it's psychological. BUT how ? Take him see psychologist??? Friend of mine says it's a phase, and leave him and it'll be alright.... but he's quite a big boy wor...soon going to be 7.

I asked him if there's a problem at school, if he's being bullied etc, and he said No. At home, everything is fine. I don't know what could be the thing that's bothering him. Or could it be PURE LAZINESS for not getting up to pee at night?

Don't know what to do..Tried punishing him, threaten and all.... BUT????

Curse of the Golden Corset!

Oops... I meant "Curse of the Golden Flower"... went to watch this show this afternoon with S1 and S2. H didn't come along as he went back to Malaysia for the day. Yup...for the day.. Took the 6.20 am flight and now is on his way back over here.
Anyway, have to say that the whole show emphasizes on boobs, boobs and more boobs... Thought everything was rather garish. The decor in the palace was a little bit "tai chann cheong" ler. My HK friend told me that it was Director Zhang YiMou's way of criticizing the nouveau rich of China, i.e. that being RICH does not buy taste nor class...or something to the extent.
S1 was like wanting to go to the toilet many times during the movie. He was abit scared. Kekeke.. very "mou kwei yoong" lah him.... because he doesn't like the part where the son was setting up the rebellion, and "kwei tar kwei" lah.
S2...was happily munching on his popcorn and watching the show..real watching or not, that's a different story...

Inflation! Inflation!

Wa...Went to do my mani/pedi with a gf at my regular nail place. Had a shock when I paid the bill...expecting it to be the usual ~ USD 18 for the set. BUT..it "hei kar" to USD 27. How can so much??? The woman said the new price was effective from 8 Jan. But they should at least inform us when we came in...but they didn't leh. Cannot like that right??? Now, have to go forth and seek for a new Nail Bar. :-( Kinda like this place ... No lah, didn't scold them like the Spa lah. So, still can come back here if I want to.

Also, went to a Chinese Restaurant with the boys and H for lunch today (after the boys' swimming lessons at school)...again, "hei kar"... Everywhere also hei kar...

Oh...but one thing that I noticed that went down were cinema tickets. Used to be ~ USD 3.80. Now it's about USD 2.80. Also, on Mondays, lagi discounted to USD 1.70. SO, maybe might go watch some movies on my own???? Kekeke..

Feraligatr, Lugia, CharmeleonEx....

Say what??? Well, these are just some funny names of Pokemon characters. Gosh.. the names are all making me siow-siow. Why I bother??? Aiya, have to devise some games for S2's birthday party lah. Of course must learn abit lor. If boys study as hard as they study their Pokemon, I will "choong ma pew" lah...*sigh*

Anyway, decided to have the party in the house. Kiasu ma... no need to pay for venue. Own-self more work only lah. Got to print birthday invites, and do small back-drop poster....Oh no!! Nothing like those fancy smancey GRAND backdrop like S2's friend...think I posted a picture some time back. Those are MEGA expensive man. Those basic party packages with the fancy smancey backdrop starts from USD 2,ooo. Siow meh!!! So, it's nomadic-mom produced ARTWORK as usual. I already did a 6 x 40 inch POKEMON cut-out; S1 helped me to colour the Yellow in.
Managed to find some Pokemon Stickers this afternoon. So bought them for the party packs. Also saw some plastic Pokemon figurines too but think abit too expensive USD 1 for a 1 &1/2 inch sized plastic figurine. No real use for them some more. Thinking...maybe buy plain white T-shirts or maybe mugs, do outlines of Pokemon characters and then get the kids to paint the insides. Then they take their "masterpiece" home with them. Good idea? Only thing is that they would have to urgh..PAINT in my house. Skali get paint on my cream sofas or chairs, then I cry leh. Have to shooooo all of them to do their stuff outside in the terrace. Got to think how to manage them... Kiasu don't want to spend money is like that one lah..

Fuming Spa!!!!

Fuming!!!!! Went to the spa with a girlfriend yesterday. Chose a 45 minute Scrub and a 75 minute Aromatherapy massage. Everything went well.... After the scrub and my shower, I was getting ready for my massage and looked at the clock and it showed 11.30 am. So, by right, my massage should end at 12.45 pm, correct?? At 12.15 pm, the therapist told me "finish". Wa.... Of course I complained lah. I hate spas cheating time out of me. Ten minutes will make me mad already. Some more this one THIRTY MINUTES!!!! And all they could say was sorry. I told them that I was not gonna pay full price, and then they "tau ngap ngap" went to call the manager and then came back and said 20% discount. I calculated. Curi 40% of my time and only offer me 20% discount, where can? Of course I argue some more and demand to see the manager. Gave me all sorts of excuses and then I said "next time don't want to come already"...and you know what those idiots said? "It's okay!!" Real real idiots!!! Fuming mad, I was!!

Now how? Have to find another spa to go to lah! Some more I go to this one quite often as it's very very close to the boys' Mandarin class whereby I will go and do either an hour massage or have a hair wash. Now CANNOT already lah!!!

Stupid people "mm sik chou saang yee"!!!!

Stressful...

Have been quite stressed today... Been going around town looking at party packages for S2's 7th Birthday Party. He wants to have a Pokemon Party AT HOME!! I was hoping to find an alternative location/venue. The party packages here sooooo expensive leh. Last time, when we were living in Bangkok, I had a party for S1 for only BHT 5000 and this included decor, face painter, balloon sculptor, magician and a party organiser. All in all, think about 4 ppl.

Was thinking of getting a bouncing castle...wa.... costs USD 170 wor..... not worth it leh.. And then called the Science Show ppl...also wa....costs USD 170 also. And then thought of having it in a playground...but sooo mafan and also not cheap. So, think will do my own games in the house lah... And S2 said that he wants to invite just the boys. Just as well ler...less ppl, easier to control the kids in my house.

So, have been designing the birthday invites today... printed out maps to my house... Have to print the game cards still... And have to go to some faraway mall on Friday to try to look for Pokemon stuff for the party packs... Still got to get someone to do the cake leh...

Plus boys being notti is not helping... Had to scream with my no voice Eric Tsang voice. Was very very sann-foo. Like my chest so tight like that. *sigh*

Bangkok and Eric Tsang....

Arrived in Bangkok at about noon. Took SQ and the other 5 gals were on AirAsia. Flights arrived about the same time. Met at the luggage carousel, went to the hotel and then went out to lunch. Had one fresh coconut during lunch. Then we went to the Erawan Shrine, had another coconut from the stall. Once I had the second coconut... I started to lose my voice....real bad. So... I sound like Eric Tsang now... so irritating. The Bangkok drivers were sniggering at my voice and even H was sniggering. I had to taruh H lah...for sniggering at me..told him "well, you just have to ML to Eric Tsang for awhile then!!" Of course he got geli lah...

MIA

No lah... not really gone MIA lah.

Just that after I came back on New Year's Eve, the broadband service was out for about 5 days.

And then went to the hills for a night with H and the boys over the weekend (6th) . Stayed at this place called the Malya, which is by the hillside overlooking a valley. Damn expensive. Cost USD 160/nite and I really cannot see what's so great. I mean the ambience is quite nice lah, have fireplace in the lobby and all but the room really quite so-so. But I supposed now that I've been there, will not bug H on another visit again. Did a little shopping in the outlets ler.

Then friends say take kids for ice-skating on Monday (8th). As my boys have not ice-skated before, I also rented a pair of skates to BE with them lah. Over-confident and fell immediately as I stepped into the rink. Damn pain lah. After I fell, I still sooooo gung-ho and skated with the boys for another half hour. Arm was still sort of okay then. Then, they needed to clean the ice, so went and sat with my friend (she didn't skate) and had a cup of coffee. Didn't move my arm and rested abit. And after awhile, realised that I couldn't straighten nor bend my arm leh. And it got more painful than when I fell. SO, a bit takut lah, then went for Xray. No fractures..thank god. But when the guy wanted to move my arm on the Xray plate, I actually cried. Soo sooo bloody painful. Was put on an arm sling, anti-inflammatory medication and painkillers. Was kinda worried that I couldn't go for my Bangkok trip on Thursday (11th).

Anyway, come Thursday, I left and flew to Bangkok lor. Yeap. Left the two boys with H. Well, as guessed. The three boys ate junk food and junk food and junk food.... McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, you named it! Don't know why H didn't ask maid to cook. Think the only proper meal was their wantan noodle lunch on Sunday before their movie. Well, I just came back last night. Have to say my arm still painful leh....

Update again sometime later...

I'll be home for Christmas...

Yup!! We'll be back for Christmas. Boys and I are flying off next Wednesday, i.e. 20th Dec - 5 more days to go. H will only be flying back on the 22nd Dec, after work. Originally, all of us were to depart KLIA on New Year's Eve but there's been a change of plans. H's boss "suggested" that he don't take the week off. Their company merged with another, and they are integrating their admin&operations... They will all be working for the NEW merged-company come 1st Jan 2007. So now, H's booked to fly back on the Christmas Day! Yup! Christmas Day wor... Boxing Day is a working day maa... But we'll still stick to our original plan of departing KLIA on 31st Dec.

So, with this change, we have to postpone our supposedly getaway. Originally, we wanted to dump the two boys with their grandparents and we jet off one..now where can?? And then H said go to the States in January wor.. Aiya wait for him to book flights first, then I need to go make my American Visa. Hope they don't think that I want to "tiu fei kei" and work as dishwasher woman in Americano... :-P

Back to me being back home... Call me to have tea/lunch/dinner OKAY? Call my mom's house lah....

Have to load up on some stuff too ...eg, Campbell's soup, Maggi Mee, Colgate.. Here got lah...but kinda expensive leh. Campbell's soup, in Malaysia is like RM 3.19 for a can, over here it's like USD 1.70. Colgate is USD 2.10 for the 175 g tube. Dettol is USD 2.60 for 250 mL. No lah..not all brands so expensive...think Colgate is expensive because it's imported..you can actually get toothpaste by Unilever (they have manufacturing here) for 70 US cents for 175 g tube..but we are not used to the taste lah... Buying groceries here must be very very vigilant one. Things may look the same, but if you pick up something that's imported, the price can be scarily high... like Milo. Saw this imported Milo (from some European country, cannot remember liow) which costs USD 10 per tin. But the locally manufactured Milo (by the local Nestle la...not bootleg ones) is like USD 1.20. Siow or not???

Year 2 Christmas Carols....

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!!!!

Okay..abit early lah..but went to S2's Christmas Carols at school this afternoon. Wanted to include the short video clip, but don't know how..so, just the picture for the moment until I improve on my blogging skills.

Sports Day!!!

Tuesday, 12th December 2006
It was the Primary School's Sports Day.... Of course, good mommy such as I am (ahem! ahem!) went to show support lah. As S1's house colour is RED, obviously I wore RED in support for his team ler.. I had RED slippers and RED cap too. He he he...
Anyway, S1 took part in the long jump and 80 m hurdles. For the long jump (boys), he was 4th out of 7 jumpers. His final jump was actually quite good, but was struck-out because he stepped on the plank. As the the 80 m hurdles, he came out third out of four runners. He was quite close to the second guy lah. Here, S1 is seen with some of his team mates. Overall, their House came out Second. Only ten points behind the champions...

Oh No!! Maid destroyed my Top!!

*Sigh* My maid just came to tell me that she ironed my top and "something happened". Spoilt say spoitl lah... something happen wor. What the heck is that? I told her to just bring it to me to show me. And you guessed it, she ironed it when it's not supposed to be ironed lor. I bought the top in Canada some more...where to find now?? Surprisingly, I didn't scream at her. No point ler. Just told her to LOOK at the label next time, or ask me. I think she also very smart lah, before she told me about my top, she handed me about RM 20 and said that H left it in his pocket....show me she's honest first, then break the bad news on my baju. Well,...it there's any consolation, all my previous maids that's worked for me (for a decent amount of time) sure got burn one of my garment during ironing one... so, maybe it's a sign that this maid will work for me for awhile???

Looking on the BRIGHT side of things...

Finally...Booking Done!!

Countdown to Bangkok....
After numerous hours of trying to book my flight on Singapore Airlines...I finally did it!! But wariao...so expensive lah. My return flight to Bangkok costs USD 417/-. "Paeng makk". For those who don't know, going to Bangkok with a bunch of patt-pohs in January '07...5 other patt-pohs actually. They are all flying AirAsia from KUL to BKK. So, meeting them at BKK Airport. My flight's arriving 20 minutes later than theirs, so they got to wait for me alittle bit lor.

Staying one extra day... cause otherwise the return flight timing very leceh. My patt-poh friend said "Wa..you stay one day extra, not scared ah? Don't pick up strangers!!" Anyway, want to meet up with my ex-landlady for dinner. Texted her about my impending visit and she was like so excited... So.. Now, just have to surf to search for discount hotels...

General Updates - 11 Dec 2006

Not alot of updates....

Friday, 8th Dec 2006
H and I went to a dinner held at the Le Meridien with other parents of S2's class and the class teacher (without kids.. and S2 was like "Not fair. I want to go see my teacher!"). Went to the middle eastern restaurant. Starter was quite good, but the main (I chose the mixed grill) was damn dry man. I took a bite of the bbq minced something and couldn't swallow it. Want to "pui" it out also don't know where to "pui". Had to get it down into my throat with a BIG gulp of my white wine. Wa... horrible-est mixed grill I ever had. Teacher said that S2 look just like H... this is the first time she has met H. I've been telling her that S2's bad spelling is from H. Hee hee :-)

Saturday, 9th Dec 2006
Went round looking for a TV stand around our area. H drove (gave driver the day off) and had a very very close call. Stupid motorcyclist whizzed across our path as we were turning. Really really "zhang tit tit" langgar the fella. Really idiots that don't give a damn about their lives!! ...Didn't find anything lah. Things like very expensive.. and H was very irritated with the pricing (???) and then like want to fight with those salespeople... Aiya, what for??

Also, S1 had a angmoh friend over to play. They played games, swam and played more games. Was gonna serve the kids Penang Char Kway Teow, but H said that the "kweichai" don't know how to eat lah.. and so I gave him a choice of Fried Kway Teow or leftover macaronin and cheese...obviously, he chose the mac&cheese lor.

Sunday 10th Dec 2006
Took boys to their swimming class. Wariow....their coach was training the boys to use their muscles... and they had to swim freestyle with just their arms. Legs had to "kiap" a piece of foam and not move. So ciatlatt... I see them also like so very very difficult. Have to say the boys are quite good now. But of course room for more improvement. Am surprised with S2 especially. He was sooooooo afraid of the water in the beginning of the term, and now, he can swim 25 m freestyle non-stop and quite ada gaya somemore...

From swimming, we had to rush to town for S2's friend's birthday party at the bowling alley. Dropped H and S1 off at a mall (S1 donwan to follow...thinks the birthday party all kiddies). Wa.. the party pack like very good wor. There's a Superman bag, Superman pencil case, A superman file/notebook and some crayons. Am worried when S2's birthday comes in February. I so cheapo... don't know leh.. Aiya..worry later lah hor..

Went home..slept like a pig...Really like Pig only man. Anyway, H then woke me up. Had to get ready to go to Hard Rock Cafe by 7 pm. H was meeting some colleagues to check out the band playing there..they want to have a company party wor.. So, we (kids and I) tagged along... When we reached there, there was a MEGA long Q. But think had some arrangement with the manager, so didn't Q lah. Of course, HRC was bloody loud lah...Boys were complaining like crazy. I told S1.. give a few years..you don't go lie to me and go to discos.. and S1 said "I will never go to discos forever!"... Yeah, right!!! As company paying, KIASU me stuffed myself lah..think the final chocolate sundae was the killer. Balik rumah, burped and then my dinner ended up in the porcelain throne!!! Yuck!!!

I am a MAN!!

My 9 year old announced "I am a man!" today.... I was like "arrr??" and then he added "I may not look like a man. BUT I feel like a man!!" and then stormed off?? Is my baby really turning into a man?? He told me he's got something on his chin...I think it's a pimple. And his molar is loose. The last time I met with his dentist, he said that milk-molars normally will be replaced at the age of 11 years. But my boy is only 9! And not 9-going-to-10.... kind. He just turned 9 not so long ago.

Someone sent me an article "10 is the new 13" or something like that. It cites that kids these days are acting more like teenagers earlier, i.e 10... Gosh.. I very takut lah. Oh yeah.. and he came back today telling me about ??? (cannot remember name) has a crush on a girl named Helen. 9 years old?? Hellllloooooo????

Australian/NZ Christmas Bazaar

Went to the ANZA Christmas Bazaar last Tuesday with mom. These are some of the stuff that I got.... When I showed H the costume jewellery, he was like "oh my god! What happened to your taste??" ... hehehe.. Actually, when I was looking at them, I was like saying "sure H will say 'what happened to your taste these days?'" ... I was right, huh? But I thought quite nice what.. also these days, these things are very "hing".

This pair costs about RM 30. It's those look-alike-jade thingys with chinese knots.

The necklace is about RM 120, and it's from turquoise. Kinda like turquoisey things.. The earring very cheap, only RM 10.

Shoes are from some kind of skin.. whether cow or snake or whatever..but costs RM 80 a pair. No..have not shown H these shoes yet.

Anyway, mom was shopping with me (we left granny in the house with the maid) and she said "angmoh all buy lapp sapp" as she surveyed all the mm-sam-mm-sei stuff on display. Ha ha ha.. but she did buy some patterned cloth wine bags with batik motif, and she's still figuring out what she's gonna do with them. She's also wondering where were the paper wine bags that she bought in Thailand donkey years ago... At least 5 years ago!!! When I was living there!!! Probably all makan by moths already, I reckoned!!

As I was saying, we left grandma in the house... we left the house like at 9 am and was gone till about 3.50 pm. According to my maid, grandma was pacing and she kept asking her to "sleep". And grandma on the other hand told me the same thing..that maid ask her to sleep.. and she asked the maid what time boys coming back etc etc.. I was amazed with the "kai thoong ngap kong" ... both of them actually understood each other. Well, grandma obviously was very restless lah.. and queried us why we were sooooo long! We went to bazaar, had lunch, then went to buy some layer cake for gifts and then off to the the supermarket to buy groceries for dinner (we had our local relative over for dinner that night) wor.. of course took longer than usual..plus the traffic jams were a killer that day...

Present from H

H came back from the States last week... bought me tons of US magazines. Of course not finished reading lah. As it is, have not even finish reading (or even started on some) those that he bought from Singapore. And also bought me this Tod's Wallet. I supposed I must have not shown enough enthusiasm when he gave it to me as he asked "you don't like it?". Instead of saying "thanks", I should have gone "oh my gawd! It's soooooo beautiful. I love it! It's always what I wanted. Lei tui ngo chann hai hou ker chiek! muak! muak! "

But I did tell him that I loved the Bose iPod docking station that he bought for the house. Really made the house livelier..not so quiet when boys not around. He seemed delighted that I actually liked it. Guessed the way to make a man happy is to show that he's made you happy... (Important lesson!!)

More about my Boys...Angels and Demons..

Angels...
S2 came into H's TV room last night while I was watching telly, and S1 followed suit while holding onto my laptop. I was gonna scream at them already (for moving my laptop all over the place as they might drop it on the floor or whatever) and then S2 said "mom, I put flowers onto your desktop. I found the flowers in the internet and downloaded it. I gave you the flowers because you are such a good and wonderful mom!". Aiyo...like that how to scold???? I was gonna upload the flowers onto this post, but dumbo-gal dunno how to do it lah...

and Demons...
S1 came back from school the other day and went "douddididaday..?" and I was like "huh? what?", and he went "doudididdaday?"... and guessed what? He then told me "mom, if you slow it down, it says Do you lick a dick a day?"

Alamak!!! What do they learn from school?? And then S1 added "mom, you know ar..the British call the chiow-chiow Dick! Why do they call the chiow-chiow Dick?" . How to answer this kind of question?? When I told H, he looked at me and then ask me "how about you lick a dick a day? ". H aside, back to boys,... guessed it's the part and parcel of growing up. At least, he's sharing such things with me.

I have a friend, she has two boys too, but hers are already 15 and 13 years old... she told me what her boys said..damn funny. She said her younger one said "aiya.. kor-kor everyday play with himself one, that's why always tired" and also one time, her younger one pulled the mother's hand and put it onto his groin and said "mommy-ah ..mor lit tou hou song ar"... ha ha ha. I asked her what did she say to him...all she said was "it's like that one. That is life!"... ha ha ha .

Oh..friend's nephew went up to the grandma and said "Ah-Ma, you have breasts and I have nipples!"...

Hahaha KIDS....

My Boys....

S1 is gonna take part in his Sports Day next Tuesday.. He's gonna be taking part in the 60 m dash and long jump. So, dear ole mommy will go to school to cheer for him! Afterall, mommy was a cheerleader once-upon-a-time!!! Kekeke.. that's donkey years ago.. Kekeke..

As for S2, S2's got a Christmas Carol Performance next Wednesday...Of course, I will go and see his performance la..choong sai munn meh??!!!??. Have to say that he knows quite a lot of songs.. Am impressed with my little baby. Okay, not so baby anymore.

Then..Friday, 15th Dec will be the last day of school... S2 will be ecstatic!! When we were still in KL, S2 used to say "I love School in November and December the BEST! Cause it's holiday time!! Ha ha ha".. and when he went into the British School, he was like "huh?? You mean I have school in November and December??"

Speaking of school.. need to polish-up on my general knowledge.. S2 came back the other and announced "the inventions of George Stevenson, Wright Brothers and Henry Ford". I knew the latter two..but was wondering "who the hell is George Stevenson?". S2 told me that he is the inventor of Steam engine wor... Had to check up on the web leh.. So cialatt.. And he learnt about Gunpowder Plot & Guy Fawkes and I was like "huh? huh?". S1 on the other hand is doing Ancient Greece. Again, I was like "huh? huh?". Lann See H has great interests in history, thus read alot about world history and such. Of course he then knows all about Ancient Greece and Gunpowder Plot stuff la.. and lann see lann yong lah.. with "your mother dont know one lah..ask me lah". Aye.. even better still...kids no need my help for homework. I go tidur better still...

Have Not Been Well...

Have not been feeling well yesterday. Woke up fine, had some cookies and milk for breakfast (boys were having it and it was easy...as maid was on her off-day). Not long later, felt like crap...went to have a nap. Woke up, made some udon soup for lunch for the boys (just the two boys...H went for a golf tournament...). Ate a little bit as don't feel too well. Arms and Legs were kinda lembik and the belly like very funny feeling. Gave boys the passport to heaven, i.e. play their PS2 and Gameboys while I nap more... Later in the evening, told H that I weren't feeling well..and his first question was "you are not pregnant, are you??" . Well..no lah.. Of course not pregnant lah.. Told a friend and she said "ha ha ha..you must be allergic to semen!" Aiyo... Well, went to bed at 7 PM last night...MEGA EARLY!!

Anyway, think it's a bout of food poisoning of some sort. This morning, went to the loo a couple of times.. At least the kaki/tangan lembik-ness is gone.
