I just came across the
Personal Creations Marvel comics collection online, and there are some great personalized Marvel comic hero gifts for kids. By the way, do you know that most of the heroes and villains in the Marvel comics have their first and last names in the same letter? For example - Bruce Banner, Peter Parker, Sue Storm, Victor Von doom, Matt Murdock, Mrs. Marvel, Green Goblin etc. etc.... Don't you find that kinda odd? I thought so too!

that's alliteration.
"Many comic book and cartoon characters are alliterative; that is, the first name and the last name begin with the same sound.
In comic books, this is especially true of the names of superheroes or their close hangers-on. It was a favorite tool of Stan Lee's, since, swarmed with projects, he often had trouble remembering the characters' names, and the alliteration worked as a mnemonic device."
So it's the same first sound, not letter - e.g. Charlotte Shore IS alliterated cos both names start with a "sh" sound; whereas, Charles Cornwall is NOT alliterated.
Names that are alliterated, I actually call 'superhero names' when talking to others :P
Wawa - waaaa.. Speech Pathologist giving some pointers! Better listen and learn a thing or two...
