My Kiddos....

Have not posted much about my kiddos for awhile...so thought I'll write a little about my two monsters....
S1 will be learning about the birds and the bees next term.....(Yes.. very scary thought for many mommies! We met on Monday for coffee to discuss about our children's schooling etc etc. One mom showed us a book on THE TOPIC. Aiyo... the pictures were rather graphic. And the information seems waaaay tooo much for 10/11 year olds. But apparently, it is the RIGHT amount...) Anyway, I was lecturing him about game-playing on the computer instead of doing actual school work, and then I mentioned "when you are supposed to be researching for a project but you go off playing games, I will know. I know all the sites that you have been onto!".
Waaa...immediately, he was sooo kann-cheong (anxious) and wanted to know how he could delete the address of a website. Told him I didn't know how to delete one site, but the entire history.
He then kept bugging me on HOW to do the deletion. Of course I got REALLY suspicious lah.
I have to probe and probe and probe.
Finally, he said " I typed something, and it accidentally popped up"
"What popped out?", I asked.
"Really. Really. It popped out by itself. Really accidentally one."
Again, I had to ask "what popped out?? Naked girls? Violent Stuff? What?"
His nervous reply was "errr... some girls in bikini!"
I didn't want to scare him from NEVER telling me things. So I told him that it was okay to look at sexy bikini-clad girls BUT NOT when they are naked and the pictures become obscene.
And when I related the story to H later at dinner that night, AIYO...S1 was soooooo embarassed that he quickly hid under the table!! Had to tell him it's not that bad lah.....
And S2.... this fella also one kind one. The other day, he was watching tv for about an hour already...and then suddenly screamed "where is the glass?". Well, the glass on one side of his spectacles was missing! And he didn't even know it until after one hour. We searched the floor and everywhere. No where to be found! WHere the glass fell out also he didn't know. Maid came and sweep sweep sweep. Tadah! What to do? Go and fix it....and also made a pair of spare glasses. Waaa...actually, this third world country arrr...very expensive. His glasses costs 30% more than in Malaysia leh....
This S2 also very cocky these days... he'll say things like "I am trying to do something here. I demand some respect!" to me!!!! Don't know whether to scold him or to laugh.

missin lense and only realised it after one hour?? oh, not as blur as me.
once, i get all dizzy when i put my glasses on, it went on for few days. then one day i tried to clean the lense only to realised it missin. then i know where all those dizziness came from. super blur right??

when kids reach puberty, they'll get curious. good that you didn't scold him but talked to him instead. good job.

Hahaha! Your son's short-sightedness isn't so bad that he didn't even notice the missing lens after 1 hour!

Shern's Mom - Waaaaa....a few days?? That. I have to say is very blur, my dear!!
Have to NOT be shocked when my son tells me things lah. I scared after he don't want to tell me anything anymore.

Dancing Queen - He only wears for TV and reading, so I guessed, he "thought" it was there. :-)
Don't have meh? I saw it in MPH last time...

SweetPea - Yeah. Lucky the company's medical coverage includes vision and dental too. So, got to get to it SOON.

Sting - Thing both shy and scared. :-)

Wow, I didn't know they teach kids 'these things' at school.

We were never thought about that except Kotex came to school when I was in Form 2 to give a talk on sanitary pads and the period cycle. Even then, some of the girls were so embarassed. How times have changed.

On 2nd thought, perhaps your son already knows about the birds and the bees. :))

Boys growing up! Maybe it's easier that the school is teaching the birds and bees, and it's nice that you got to talk to S1 nicely.

S2... you finally had no choice but get him the spare. It's funny how he didn't notice the missing lens, but I know how engrossed kids can get watching TV, and even husbands, too, right?;p

wah!your son still can watch tv?my daughter also use the glasses when she read and watch tv.it's good news,i think his eye sight has improve:)I guess I hate those pop up naked ad..luckily i have the protection if not my kids sure will have a chance to see that.

Judy - Yeah..they teach them in Year 6. It's in the British National Curriculum. Yes. He does know about the SCIENTIFIC version of the birds and the bees. But I think he doesn't know the GRAPHIC details.

BP - Some moms do not want their kids to take the lessons. But I think learning in a classroom environment is better than learning it OUTSIDE. DOn't you think?
As for S2's spare glasses. What do do? It's for those days when the glasses get lost, left in school, sat on etc etc...

Sweetiepie - My PC has the basic firewall protection lah. But sometimes funny things can still get through... But I think my S1 still NOT exactly into THAT kind of stuff YET.

Just questioning if eBay allows you to market concert tickets on the net? Do you know if you'll find any restrictions depending on what country you are in?

My parents have just known as me and asked if i could "get rid" of their two tickets to a concert as they wont be able to make it as a result of one more family event.

Besides asking pals etc, i thought ebay would be a fantastic place to sell them.

But whats ebay's policy on promoting tickets? Ive heard alot about it within the news but ive forgotten what happened.

and if it matters, the concert is within this coming month

Thanks in advance for the advice.
