S2's DYNASTY WARRIORS Party!- Part 2

This is a continuation from Part 1.

Although I ordered the cake and pinata a week before the party, I procrastinated until the day before the party to purchase stuff for the goodie bags. Ended up filling the goodie bags with junk food instead of personalized items as I originally intended. As not everyone RSVP-ed, I didn't have the numbers of party attendees. So I had to pack extras just in case.

Goodie Bags for the Kids

Candies for the Pinata
I have never ever bought soooooooo much candy in my life. Even with so much, I couldn't fill up the fatty Zhou Yun Pinata. Only managed to fill half of the Pinata

Mad Rush for the Candy

I think next time, I won't want to have the party at home again. It was REALLY CHAOTIC. 17 kids screaming in the house is NO joke!!!!

Aiyo...and the stress leading up to the party. I didn't have any activities planned other than throwing the kids into the pool and the pinata. Party was to start at 3 pm. When it started raining at noon, I was like panicking like crazy. What am I to do with 17 kids? How to entertain them? PENGSAN lah.

Luckily rain stopped. Kids did play in the pool, hit the pinata. And then it started to rain again. *sigh* They ate nuggets and fries, candy floss and ice-cream. Aiyoooooo...I had kids dripping ice-cream on the floor INSIDE the house. Somehow, H's instructions to the kids to eat the ice-cream OUTSIDE (i.e on the terrace) was not followed. *sigh*

And when rain stopped, kids were playing in the garden bare-footed and then went into the house and SAT with feet up on my CREAM coloured sofa. DOUBLE PENGSAN!!! And I have blue-coloured cream from the cake on my sofa too. *sob* *sob*

Then half the kids left, and the remainder jumped into the pool again, and when they came into the house without wiping themselves, my marble floor was wet and slippery. And what happened? I slipped and FELL. Blardy sakit!!! Geez...

No more parties at home!!!

Aiyoh, you fell? How is your bottom?

I think if you hang the pinata higher, the kids will take longer to hit, hahahaha...then they will be too tired to run around and mess your furniture. *lol*

Looks like they enjoyed themselves!

I have had many birthday parties for my daughter at home. but for my son, I have always hesitated becoz I just cant imagine so many boys running around the house. We did one 2 years ago, but it was an organised party - with games etc all in the garden!! I also cannot tahan mess in the house...and the cleaning afterwards!!

Happy Birthday to S2!

Oh dear, I can just imagine the mess on your sofa! When #3 had a party last year, most of the kids were pretty well-behaved except for 1. That was enough to drive me nuts!

I salute you for having the party at home! :)

It's very brave of you, and very well done, to host so many kids, and boys at that! And all your efforts to get the goodie bags, pinata, and cake ready!

The one party we did for my big boy 2 years ago, in the end we just had it at McDonald's with an indoor playground, because it's too cold that time of the year to do anything outdoors, and I was wondering how on earth to entertain a group of energetic boys indoors?

You did great! Hope you didn't hurt yourself!

Judy - Bottom is Okay. Just realised the wrist is not too good today when I tried to knead my dough. :-(
The pinata was hung pretty high up. We had the gardener use a ladder to string the raffia across two trees. It's just that the pinata was sort getting decapitated and thus hung lower and lower. And with the kids pulling it down, "cialatt"!!

Stay-At-Home-Mom - The kids are big now that they will NOT follow the organised games. So I don't wanna bother with that.

Dancing Queen - The kids weren't notti..just being kids, I guessed.

Mommy of 3 Angels - Yeah. Definitely NOT in my house again!!!

Sasha - My kids sooo big liow. They won't want to have McD party. When they were younger, then their parties were like in Burger King, Kidsports or MegaKidz. Now? Difficult. Difficult.

Mott - The kids enjoyed themselves surely!! It's this mommy that is stressed out!

bp - Can't do it at MCD's because they are too big and won't want that lah.

Laundryamah - I happy my butt didn't crack!!

Yes, that was the very last year we could still try and make do with Mac's for my big boy. But our little boy now wants the same party, when his birthday comes around next... and it is still one of the most affordable places to host a party here outside of home.

Are there public places where you are, besides that (must be quite expensive) dressup place, you can hold your future b'day parties for S1 and S2? The bigger they get, a more elaborate party it becomes... headleg, hor?!

bp - Think I will negotiate with them to have just 5 friends...and they can go bowling, movie or whatever lah... Saves me the headache of planning a party at home.
