Schloss Linderhof, Bavaria

As mentioned here, I took a tour to visit the Bavarian Royal Castles. First stop was to visit Linderhof Palace (Schloss Linderhof in German). It is the smallest of the three palaces built by King Ludwig II (it is really quite small for a palace). To read up more about this palace and to look at nicer photos plus photos of inside the palace (can't take photos inside the palace), check out Wikipedia's page.

Here are my photos...

From the ticket counters, you would have to walk about 10 minutes to the Palace. The views are magnificent (though you can't tell from my cr@p camera skills!)

This was the first Royal lodge at this location, but Ludwig did not like it so decided to build a new one.

If you would like to stay near to this Palace, there is actually a hotel that is located by the ticket counters....
