Fleas Control Guide

{Sponsored Post}

When I got my first pet, a little Pomeranian, little did I know that I had to deal with fleas. Yup! Fleas. Those pesky annoying bugs that not only bites the poor animal, but also people too. These flea bites are really itchy and can be a pain. How do we get rid of fleas? Better yet. How do we prevent our pets from getting fleas in the first place? On the FleasControl website, I read that some plants such as lavender, eucalyptus and mint have natural pesticides as a defense mechanism, and thus can be used to ward off fleas. Although it's not foolproof, I think planting some of these in the garden is a great way to help control fleas as it's all natural and chemical-free.

Pomeranian? Awwww, I had a pomeranian given to me when I was 12 but he was stolen from me.
With dog fleas, a strong dose of shampoo and powder from the Vet normally does the trick. Once it is under control, being an indoor dog, it should be easy to control.

My mum used to sit down with her dogs, one by one, going through their fur and picking out the fleas with a pair of pincers. Great job right? :P

dr ve thru - I remember the part that we have to go through the fur and pick out the ticks with our fingers, and then "picit" them till the "pop"...Yup. Very gross..hahaha

V - You were too young to remember...or maybe not even born yet. Well, she died and we buried her in the playground in front of the house.

V is your sister? Yes, press the flea until it popped and then see how much blood it sucked out of the dog! Gross indeed! :)) Those were the days.

dr - Yes. V's my sister. We are 12 years apart. So think she wasn't born yet when we had the Pomeranian.

Hee hee.. damn gross..with the popping the tick and see if the blood ooze out... Hahah. But if I see my boys do that, think I will scream my lungs out for them to stop!!!
