Would you steal your friend's Maid???

Would you?

I feel it's quite a terrible thing to do!!! Although my maid is not perfect, I would be very upset if my friend tries to do that! Who wouldn't???

This topic came about because a friend, whom I shall call A, attempted to LURE friend B's maid by offering to pay the maid about 50% extra. A also told the maid to quit, and only go to her house after two weeks, and not to tell B. Think the maid did contemplated to leave B's household, but decided against it, and told her ma'am.

Is this what a friend would do??

Is the maid telling the truth? Maybe this is a way of getting her boss to give her a payrise just to keep her? I am not an expert when it comes to maid. Hehehe....but like to give my 2 pennies worth.

it is terrible to do such thing. I think the maid pincher shd also realized that the maid is not trustworthy/loyal and money face lor. I guess in some way it tells a bit of the character of the maid too.

Shern's Mom - No. She didn't. She pretended that she didn't know. But A did "Test the waters" by asking B a few questions...wanna find out if the maid told her...

Judy - Think should be telling the truth lah. This maid was C's maid for 1 1/2 years... and C very sayang this maid, and didn't want her maid to be passed to A. A got 3 small children, so more work one. B's 2 children are big already... BTW, C left the country so was looking for a new job for her maid lah.

Stay-at-home mum - Apparently, one of A's maid left, and she quite desperate ?? Donno lah..for me, desperate also not like that lah..

WMD - No lah. The maid didn't jump ship. Still with B.

No la... I tried...coz my granma needed a good one...but, before i approached my fren, i chicken-ed out. you're right..it's just like stealing lah. I tried to rationalize with myself...since the maid was only there to take care of 1 big house and 3 dogs.

but still... it felt like stealing. sigh... *shameful*

Mott - You said you wanted to APPROACH your friend. So, you wanted to ask your friend is she can "Spare" her maid lah. That is not exactly stealing. This case ar.. the friend went directly to the maid, and told the maid to quit and NOT tell her ma'am. Your case DIFFERENT lah...
